Alex von Furstenberg is the son of renowned fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg and his mother is Egon Von Furstenberg, a lady who is from the Russian Jewish origin. His father is half German and Italian. Alexander and his sister was born and brought up in New York City and Alexander took his Bachelor of Arts degree in the year 1993 from brown university. He is the founder and chief investment officer of Ranger Global Advisors, LLC which is his family business based on investment. Previously before joining his family business he was the chief investment officer and a Co managing member of a company named Arrow Capital Management, a privatized firm which looked after the global investment for public in shares and equities. He was also the chief investment officer of arrow investment since 2001.This is also a privatized firm owned by the Von Furstenberg family. Alexander looked after his father business Diane Von Furstenberg Studio, LP a globally renowned brand for the luxury lifestyle. He is the director and the partner of the globally renowned company owned by his family. He is also among the board of directors of IAC, US based Internet Company. He even worked with a Bermuda based asset management company as one of the board members of W.P Stewart & CO.LTD.

Alexander is successful and a renowned personality who did not limit himself to one kind of work. But always believed in broadening the horizon of knowledge which is the key reason for what he is today. Alex von Furstenberg is the secretary and director of his family business Diller von Furstenberg family foundation. This business is owned and managed by his own family members including his stepfather, sister and his mother. Diller von Furstenberg family foundation also takes care of many charitable causes catering to human rights, childcare , protection of the environment, reformation in community ,humanities, arts , education, research on diseases. This foundation also got a significant contribution “High line” which is a name of a famous park in the City of New York. Alexander was one the board members of “Our Time”, and the national advisory of council (ACRIA). In his first life when he was a teenager, Alexander use to live in a Carlyle hotel and married to one of the daughter of Robert warren miller an owner of a duty free shop. Her name is Alex and they both got married on 28th of October, 1995 in the city of New York.
